The roller curtain functions a lot like a roller shade in a window. As the lift raises, the curtain unwinds, and as the lift table lowers, the curtain retracts. The tension on the fabric from the roller assembly keeps the material held firmly.
The fabric forms a protective shield which will keep hands, feet, and foreign objects from getting inside of the lift table.
Why Use Roll Up Curtains for your Lift Table?
Small Footprint - Sometimes a traditional bellows skirt will not work for your lift table if a very small footprint is required. This is where the roll up curtains can be used on your lift table. The roll up curtain assembly attaches to the top and bottom of the lifting platform and can be installed on all four sides, or just one side.
Can be attached to only one side – A traditional bellows would deform and collapse outwards if it was only attached to one side of the lift table. The roll up curtain on the lift table does not have this problem, it can be installed on only one side and will not deform.
Only guard access sides – This is particularly useful for applications where the operator only has access to one side of the lift. With this scenario, you really only need to cover that side of the lift table, and the roll up curtain works great for one sided guarding .
