Lift table guard buying tips
Follow these buying tips which will help you get an accurate quote from our estimating department which will translate into a perfect fit for your lift.
- Measure the height of the lift from the floor to the top most point on the lifter. Both in the raised position and the lowered position.
- Measure the width and then the length of both the top of the lift and the bottom.
- Keep in mind that the skirt generally is not connected to the bottom of the lift, as it just hangs down to the floor. It is a good idea to try and determine if you want it connected before you request your proposal.
- Consider the environment that the lift table guard will be used in. If for instance, there will be a high level of radiant heat or welding which is taking place, a Kevlar guard might be needed. If either of these conditions exist, please let us know so we can discuss your options.
- Appearance for some lift table guards is also very important. An example might be a stage lift which is used on a cruise ship. This type of guarding should look very esthetically pleasing as it is a non-industrial setting. For these applications, we offer Thermally bonded skirts which are reinforced with PVC to offer great function and great appearance.
Hopefully these tips are helpful for your lift table skirt application and we look forward to working with you and for you.
